![]() ![]() I played a game as the All Madden Team against the Houston Texans. I didn't take time to read the instruction manual and everything because, "Hey!" It's Madden! It shouldn't be the hardest thing to play in the world! Though I really didn’t take the time to figure out how to play. Well pretty much the only point I'm trying to make here is that come on people, Madden 2002 was made in the year 2001! NFL Quarterback Club '98 was made in 1997! Madden was made about 4-5 years after NFL Quarterback Club '98, and NFL Quarterback Club '98 has better graphics! That’s pathetic! EA Sports could of at least put effort into making the graphics for this game! It sure doesn’t look like it. I mean I compared NFL Quarterback Club '98 to Madden 2002 in a review I wrote for NFL Quarterback Club '98. I mean if you've played NFL Quarterback Club '98 for Nintendo 64 then let me tell you that, that game has better graphics then this game does. Pretty much just summed it up! They seem like 1997 graphics. What a mistake! Let me tell you why this game is an embarrassment to EA Sports. Well now that it's five years later I decided to hook up my N64 and play it for old times sake. It was the newest and latest football game out, everyone loved it. I had a great time playing this when it first came out. Anyway when I first played this game I loved it. Though I do remember my Dad getting me this game either my Birthday or Christmas, I cant remember. ![]() Well at least now as much as I play my other systems now. ![]() I owned an N64 and didn't play it all that much. Though in the year 2002 I really wasn't all that hooked up on Madden. In all, this PS version of Madden NFL 2002 is designed to offer something for all kinds of Madden fans, including classic, familiar gameplay and some new features that pay worthy respect to the history of the series. Unlike their counterparts on newer systems, the N64 and PlayStation versions of Madden 2002 also feature the "Madden Meter," which is based on the emotional flow and the momentum of the game. Although the look and feel may elicit nostalgia, gamers will be able to play with the updated teams and rosters in this mode. Through a special feature available only in the N64 and PlayStation versions of Madden NFL 2002, gamers can also access the "Madden Classic Mode," which emulates the old-fashioned graphics and play style of the Madden games in their 16-bit Sega Genesis heyday. There are also the options of Tournament play and Custom Leagues, as well as the new Create-A-Team feature. In addition to the modes of play offered in earlier versions of Madden NFL, players can now buck up on the basics in a Training Mode or play through the intensity of the Two-Minute Drill. As always, teams and rosters have been updated to match those of the most recent (2000-2001) NFL season and the game features commentary from perennial hosts John Madden and Pat Summerall, including some new, more player-specific content. The industry's most enduringly popular football game returns to the N64 with this 2002 edition, once again bringing familiar gameplay and new features.Commercial reproduction, distribution or transmission of any part or parts of this website or any information contained therein by any means whatsoever without the prior written permission of the Club is not permitted.
